MY FLOORS

Did you see the weather report yet today? Looks like the remnants of Fay will be in our area sometime Monday. Last report said winds will likely be only about 35 mph but at this point I'm not sure anybody can predict anything with much certainty concerning Fay.

My wife mentioned to someone recently that she wants to replace some floors in our house. Their comment was: "women are always wanting to change something". I guess it's true what they say about a woman being the head of her castle (house). Although I am not one who requires much change (and neither does my wife) I have to admit the floors do need some updating. Heaven knows they suffered enough wear and tear over the years.

So off on the shopping trip we went to "look" at floors. I know you can guess what happened. It turned out to be more than "window" shopping. The next day (when I had my truck) I picked up a load of Bamboo Wood Flooring. I usually don't do projects this large and prefer to stay with smaller floor projects but this is my house so I'm expected to do the work. Naturally my wife isn't going to call some "strange" handyman.

One good thing is she isn't demanding a job completion date as long as it's done by Thanksgiving when we have family over. I think I can manage that (on my day off). Ha!
