...that is the question. Sorry I missed my blog yesterday. I was very busy.
The talk of the town lately has been nothing but Gustav. Even without the horrible experience with Katrina as a reminder, the intensity of Gustav is deserving of our respect. One lesson area residents learned is not to compare storms as many did with Betsy. Before Katrina I heard comments like: "we didn't flood for Betsy so we're not going anywhere". Those people were basing their future expectations of Katrina on their past experience with Betsy. That was a tragic mistake for many. The lesson learned is you can't know the outcome of one storm compared to another. There are just to many variables.
None of us know what this week will hold. I'm storm fatigued already just watching the constant weather reports. As I type it's almost midnight Friday night. It's totally possible Gustav will take a turn and life will go on as normal next week. That is what we all hope for. If that's not the case then let's all be wise and seek safe shelter until it passes. What happens (or don't happen) will determine when I'll be able to post to the blog again. Until things return to normal...stay safe.
